In just a little less than two weeks, I will be flying to the Netherlands to attend the 13th International Conference on Corporate Reputation, Brand, Identity and Competitiveness in Amsterdam.   The time difference between Amsterdam and Knoxville is six hours – not too bad.  I remember that going to Beijing last year was 12 hours difference for me – wow! 🙂  I have looked over the program for the conference, and I am very excited about the research presentations and meeting the leading professionals in the field.  I am very excited about going to the conference and visiting Amsterdam!

Amsterdam offers so much culture, history, and opportunities to explore.  Their public transportation system is easy to get around with, and so I imagine that I will be using the train and buses to get around the city.  I will be at the conference from May 28 to May 30th – but I will have a couple of days to play tourist before heading back to the States.  I will be participating in the poster session on May 30th (10-12 pm) – I am very excited!  I have my poster all ready to go, and Dad even got me a poster carrier to bring with me to the conference – we call it the “National Treasure Carrier” because it looks exactly like the one that was used in the first movie with Nicholas Cage. 🙂

The last couple of weeks, I have been doing some research on places that I must go and see while I am in Amsterdam.  I am going to have about two days to play tourist, so it will definitely be a busy two days! 🙂  Amsterdam is known for its museums, and I definitely want to go   and see the Anne Frank Museum and the Van Gogh Museum.  Also, a must-go for me will definitely be the Heineken Experience.  I am presenting a case study on Heineken for the conference, and I think that it would be a wonderful opportunity to get an insight look into the strong global brand.  If there are other places that you all think that are must-dos in Amsterdam, please let me know. 🙂 Thank you in advance! 🙂

I hope that you all are having a great day! 🙂

Best Wishes,

Karen
