I have been a fan of Arik’s blog for years – it is a must read for all professors, students, and professionals in PR. I was extremely honored to be asked by him to recommend three students from my time here at UofL to be considered to be part of this great list of future PR professionals. Arik did a similar post last year featuring 24 rising professionals in the business and this year he featured 17 students.
I was very excited to see the three students I recommended make the list for this post. All three took my social media class (Lizelle was in the first class in the spring and Diana and Amanda took the class this past fall). Each of these ladies brings something to the table – but there are some universal characteristics that are key to highlight here. These ladies are dedicated, hard working, determined, strong leaders, and strategically creative with their work in StratComm and in social media.

While taking classes, all three were active in their internships to gain experience and learn more about the field. In fact, both Lizelle and Diana worked with UofL Athletics with Nick Stover. Lizelle worked with UofL Athletics while finishing up her course work at UofL (Spring 2013) and Diana is currently an intern this semester (Spring 2014).

I am very proud of Lizelle, Diana, and Amanda for what they have been able to do not only in my classes at UofL, but in their internships and jobs. I had the pleasure having all three ladies in several of my classes here at UofL. Special thanks again to Arik Hanson for featuring these students today on his blog! 🙂
