Twitter chats have been a staple form of learning new tools, engaging with fellow professionals, and sharing points of view on a variety of different topics.
This Thursday, I will be a guest on #HootChat, Hootsuite’s Twitter chat from 12 pm PST / 3 pm EST. The topic I will be talking about will be teaching social media – a topic I am very excited about discussing with fellow professionals.
Hootsuite in my opinion is one of the true leaders in the social media sector and as an educator, it’s been truly an amazing experience to be part of their community. Their support, dedication, and commitment to social media education has been something I have not seen or experienced since I have been teaching.
I have participated in several #HootChats before, and I have to say, they are very dynamic and rewarding. The conversations are energetic and inspiring – plus the professionals you get to communicate with are all fabulous. Each week, the topic and focus for the chat is different but relevant for professionals working, teaching, and studying social media. So, if you fit into one of these categories, I would strongly recommend marking your calendar for Thursdays to participate in #HootChat. It’s definitely a must-do, especially for students, professionals, and professors in social media!
I would like to send out a major special thank you to Matt Diederichs, Kimberly Yu, Kelsey Wong, and the rest of the great Hootsuite team for this amazing opportunity. Make sure to follow and participate this Thursday on Twitter by using the #HootChat hashtag!
Hope you all are having a great day!
