Ever since I could remember, our family was always into technology. I have told my family and friends that people can spend hours at certain stores – whether it is shoe stores like Kenneth Cole or Saks Fifth Avenue. However for me – it would have to be either the Apple store or any electronic store. I absolutely love technology – and being interested in working and researching in social media – well, I have to know what is out there! 🙂 Yesterday, I got my new iPad and absolutely love it. It does everything for me to keep organized and up-to-date on what assignments, research papers, and activities I am doing. In addition, I have been able to download applications that can help me in my presentations such as Pages and Keynote. I also got an application that is a translator, which is going to help me when I am in Brazil in two weeks.
So, not only did I get an iPad, but Kristin and Dad got one as well. Dad really is excited about using it for social media, cooking, and designing applications, and Kristin has used it for her daily activities, research, and organization for her graduate classes. Mom is also very excited about the iPad since it is going to be a device that will impact how students and professors use textbooks for their classes. In summary, if you have not gotten an iPad – you should! It is a really neat device and I look forward to using it in my classes, research, and presentations. 🙂
