There’s going to be several exciting announcements for the upcoming week regarding the social media committee for the AEJMC PRD.However, I would like to officially announce that I will be taking the leadership role for the social media committee for the 2013-2014 year. I am truly honored and excited about this wonderful opportunity! ๐Ÿ™‚

Chris Perry (website), me, and Geah Pressgrove (Social Media) for AEJMC PRD.

I have some pretty fabulous shoes to fill in for the leadership position of the AEJMC PRD social media committee. ย Tiffany Gallicano (University of Oregon) was the leader for us this past year and provided great guidance and insights for what we can do as a team for the AEJMC PRD. Tiffany was voted to be Vice Head Elect for the AEJMC PRD – congrats, Tiffany!

It has been truly wonderful working with Melissa Dodd (University of Central Florida) and Geah Pressgrove (West Virginia University) as well. Couldn’t have done it without these two fabulous ladies – I have been super impressed with their hard work ethic, dedication, and positive personality when it comes to social media. Both are accomplished professors, researchers, and consultants in PR and social media. Lucky to work with these two!

As a result, we were all very excited to see how prominent not only AEJMC PRD was at the AEJMC 2013 Conference via social media, but our entire PR professor community as well. Check out this site from NodeXL Graph Gallery so you can see the key words, users, and divisions were most prominent on social media during the conference.

It was also truly wonderful to hear from attendees, members of the PRD, and others via social media about our work. I was able to talk to a lot of graduate students, professors, and others both in person at the conference and online and everyone loved the resources we were sharing, updates regarding the division as well as the conferences. This was very rewarding to hear – thank you everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚

We have several other announcements related to the social media committee this week, so stay tuned! I am very excited to be working with the team again this year and hope to make the 2013-2014 year just as fabulous as this past year! ๐Ÿ™‚ Make sure to follow AEJMC PRD on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram as well for the latest updates, announcements, and features.

Stay tuned for more fabulous news this week on the social media committee. ย Very exciting developments ahead! Hope you all are having a great day!

Best Wishes,

Karen
