I had the pleasure of attending and presenting at the RI Annual Conference in Milano – which is a gorgeous and amazing city.  I have had the chance to experience the Italian culture while attending the conference in Italy – and this was one of the most exciting and inspiring trips I have taken.

The Reputation Institute Conference brought about researchers and practitioners around the world and from different industries to discuss of going global in the Reputation Economy.  The program was very fabulous! Discussing issues of alignment (both internally and externally) from Prof. Dr. Cees van Riel (definitely check out his new book) as well as thinking about Corporate Social Responsibility as Corporate Social Innovation (discussing the changes that will help support social changes in society based on reputation).  Media influences (traditional and social) as well as new research methodologies to look at repetitional issues in database dashboards were also discussed.

I presented at the RI Conference on a study I worked on with Kristin Graham (USMA West Point), Kathleen Vidoloff (Oregon Health Authority), and Gina Eosco (Cornell University, AMS). Here is our presentation that was uploaded on Slideshare.  Would be interested in hearing what you all think about it!

I really do appreciate all of the comments, questions, and kind remarks of our presentation from the conference attendees.  I truly appreciate it and thank you again for coming to my presentation in Milan. 🙂

I have also enjoyed being a visitor to the great city of Milan.  I was able to play tourist a little bit and see the sights, and what I saw was absolutely breathtaking.  Just so you all know, Milan will soon be hosting the EXPO in 2015, and I strongly encourage you all to visit the city if you have a chance.  One of the things that I find interesting is whenever I talk with friends about visiting Italy, everyone says to go to Venice, Rome, or Florence.  However, I would say that Milan totally needs to be on the list.  The influence of history, culture, fashion, cuisine, and sustainability with technologies should be noted and recognized for the fashion capital of the world.

Overall, I have thoroughly enjoy being part of the presenters at the annual Reputation Institute conference as well as attending.  I always walk away with great insights, ideas, and networking connections unlike any other conference I have attended.  This was actually my fifth RI Conference – first one I attended was in 2008 in Beijing.  Many wonderful things have happened since then! 🙂

I would like to thank everyone at the Reputation Institute for hosting such an amazing conference and truly making our time in Milan very wonderful.

Hope you all are having a wonderful day.  Ciao!

Best Wishes,

Karen
