I am very excited to be presenting at the Research Colloquium at the World Public Relations Forum in Melbourne, Australia.  I will be presenting on a research project that extends my research with Qsorts, but this will be different since it will be focusing on various situations.

I have been to Australia before – but it has nearly been twenty years.  My family and I went down to Australia, New Zealand, and Tasmania (the little island south of Australia), and this was the trip that really sparked my interest for international travel and passion to explore the world.

We spent two weeks going to see the ferry penguins, tour Auckland and see geysers, tour around Sydney Harbor, and meet the real Tazmanian devils in Tasmania (even though they are not as cute as “Taz” from Looney Tunes).  We also made stops in Fiji, Tahiti, and of course Raratonga (an island in the Cook Islands).  My dad wrote a great post about remembering our trip down to Australia on his blog.  I am very thankful and grateful to both Mom and Dad for opening our eyes (Kristin, Karla, and I) to the world with this trip.

Melbourne is a great city – we got a chance to not only go to Sydney, but we spent a few days as well in the city.  There are many attractions to go and see, including the Werribe Open Range Zoo and Safari, horse racing, and even seeing the sites in an air balloon around the city.

I am very excited about the opportunity to go back to a place that has such special memories for me.  I am really looking forward as well to present my research at another prestigious research and professional conference.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Best Wishes,

Karen
