Reputation managment is a very interesting area of study in both public relations and in marketing. But what does it really mean? Many scholars and professionals have come out with their own personal definition. I have always found it interesting to go and find quotes in my various fields of study (ex. public relations, psychology, marketing, etc.) It’s a great way to see what others have said about the concepts in the field. Plus, it is a great way to introduce the topic in conversation or even at a research presentation. Here are a few interesting quotes on reputation that I thought you all would be interested in looking at:
- “Glass, china, and reputation are easily cracked, and never mended well” (Benjamin Franklin)
- “Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are” (John Wooden)
- “Associate with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for it is better to be alone than in bad company” (George Washington)
Hope you all are having a splendid day! 🙂
Best Wishes,
Karen
