One of the things that has been wonderful in the past four years is the fact that I have had the opportunity to work for two great universities.  I have been a graduate teaching and research assistant here at the University of Tennessee while working on my PhD in Communications.  The professors, staff, and other students have been absolutely wonderful – I have really grown in both as a scholar, researcher, and public relations professional. It has been a wonderful experience for me to be at UT and in Knoxville.

The other university I have been a part of has been West Virginia University in their online IMC Master’s program.  I began working for WVU back last year teaching their PR Concepts & Strategy class, and the experience has been amazing.  The faculty and staff are all very supportive and encouraging, and the students are very interactive and professional.  I had the opportunity to meet some of the facultuy and students in person at this past year’s IMC Faculty & Student Weekend in June.  During this time, we conducted presentations and held panels (I was part of the crisis communications panel), and we got a chance to see WVU in person.

In addition, we got a chance to be interviewed as a faculty.  Here is a video that was just released to show the WVU IMC Faculty, and what makes the program not only cutting edge, but a dynamic and interactive learning environment.  What is exciting is to see each member of the IMC faculty come to the program with different experiences and all across the country – very exciting! 🙂
