It’s always a wonderful sight when you see established professionals ‘giving back’ to the community in order for others to succeed!
It is the greatest kindness to smooth the path for others to follow and I would like to add my thanks to the voices of all other graduate students at the University of Tennessee for the endowment that Dr. Sally and James McMillan have provided to Tennessee:
“Both James and Sally recognized the need for more graduate scholarships in the college. The couple’s 25th wedding anniversary was an additional motivation for the gift. McMillan says that ‘the endowment is a much better gift than a new diamond.’”

By the way, I can see that Dr. McMillan and her husband have already seen the Great Wall of China! Kristin and I certainly enjoyed our time in Beijing.
