From Track to Public Relations: Having a Blog for two years!

It is amazing how time flies by–I have had my blog now for about two years.  I started my blog in 2006 right after I retired from track and field at USC, and have continued to write about what is going on in the Public Relations field.  From sports PR to food to International PR to PR Nightmares– it has all been very fun to write about! 🙂

I have really enjoyed is the fact that not only people around the US are looking at it– but all around the world!  Public relations is a huge field in Europe, China, India, and South Africa– that seems to be where I get a lot of hits from. It is very neat! :)It is not only important to understand the public relations practices in your own country, but it is also important to see how other countries handle a crisis and what strategies and tactics they implement in their own campaigns and crisis communications plans.   Crises happen everywhere, and I think that it is very exciting to be part of an energetic and dynamic field!
