So far this semester, I have been working as a graduate teaching and research assistant in the School of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Tennessee. Besides working with students and writing conference papers, I have also been part of the PR Day 2008 Committee as a graduate assistant. PR Day 2008 is a professional and networking event for both students and professionals in public relations to come together and discuss the current issues, trends, and technologies in crisis communication.
I was very excited to have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in designing and event planning. My job was to design a web site, brochure, and flier for PR Day. Another task that we wanted to do for the PR Day even was to have online registration. After doing some research, we came across a site called Eventbrite. Eventbrite offers people a chance to have an online registration page on their site to promote their event and register for events online that is really easy.
What is also great about Eventbrite is their customer service. When I was setting up the online registration page for PR Day, I had a few questions and I contacted Eventbrite by email, and they immediately got back to me with a very detailed and helpful note. That really helped me out! Also, I have heard from many people that they thought the online registration process on Eventbrite was easy, the page looked professional, and really liked the convenience of it! I highly recommend them if anyone is interested in having online registration for their PR event.
I hope that you all are having a great day! 🙂
Best Wishes,
Karen 🙂
