Here is what I am reading today:
“DALLAS — The overwhelming reaction to the recent arrest of three North Texas schoolteachers – and the investigation of a fourth – on allegations that they had sex with their students was not so much surprise that it happened, but curiosity about why such incidents seem to be more in the news of late.”
“What’s with the honeybuns, you ask? A “Honeybun” is a nickname for athletes who are dating their coach. After drug issues, honeybuns are one of the key challenges facing athletic departments and teams today, but don’t expect to read about this in the news anytime soon.”
“The numbers of followers, fans, likes, RTs, views etc are great indicators of activity and watching their trends will help you understand which communications are effective but how do you really measure social media success?
I’ve narrowed it down down to 3 important “metrics” which really are goals: “Thank You”, “Wow” & “Done”
What do I mean by that? Let’s have a look:”
“Helena-based communications and marketing firm Strategies 360 Montana has been selected to serve as the consultant for a Montana University System initiative that aims to draw interest and increase access to the state’s two-year colleges.
The College! Now program is funded through a $1.77 million grant from the private, Indianapolis-based Lumina Foundation for Education. The money was awarded in 2009 and is available for four years, by the end of which the university system is hoping to expand the scope of its two-year colleges and garner more local interest in the workforce training and transfer education opportunities they offer.”
“If you’re traveling this summer, why not take a trip to Fortnighter’s website first for a custom travel itinerary written just for you by one of the site’s contributing travel writers? Those staycationing instead might appreciate the deals and food information on venues just down the street as provided by Poggled or Foodstream….”
“Looking for even more social media resources? This guide appears every weekend, and you can check out all the lists-gone-by here any time.”
“Finding the right candidate for a job is like finding a new apartment: timing, finances and quality all have to align just right. And somehow, the pool of options always seems to feel both prohibitively large and prohibitively limited at the same time.”
