Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg

Facebook is starting to share interviews of well known people on-line

Here are a few fun stories for today:

“Less than a year ago, some technology pundits questioned whether Apple’s “iTablet” would find any buyers. InfoWorld ventured to explain “Why Apple’s rumored iTablet will fail big time,” while VentureBeat’s 2010 predictions included the claim that “tablets will fail.””

“I’m excited to write about a new product we’re launching called the Social Media Monitor, which is an important step toward our vision of offering a comprehensive platform to measure, analyze, and act on your social media engagement.  In a nutshell, the Wildfire Monitor gives users the ability to compare the growth of several social objects over time. Think of it as Compete.com for the social world.  At launch, the objects we support include Facebook pages and Twitter accounts.”

As self-identified social media addicts, we recognize that not everyone shares our passion for tweeting, posting and checking in. We value these activities because they help us stay informed, share our work with others and build networks of meaningful relationships. But with the holiday season upon us, many will be reconnecting with family and friends who do not use social media in the same way. We can’t help but wonder if some of our loved ones might consider our connected lifestyles to be strange, or worse, rude.”
