It’s great— to be— a —-Florida Gator!!! I remember we sang that when we won our conference championship in track and field– and it’s the same feeling with the Florida basketball team. Florida beat Ohio State yesterday and became back to back champions. I wasn’t able to watch it (I had class), and everyone was like– Karen, why aren’t you watching the game??!! Hello Everyone, I have a big announcement to make! I am back in track and field. 🙂 I had my first meet of 2007 yesterday and I threw 60’1″ in the shot put. Yeah, I thought that I was retired, but that is in the past– it distracts from the now (great line from Edna!) Wow– it’s amazing what happens when you lose over 55 lbs! That little shot goes really far! 🙂 **APRIL FOOL’S!!!!**
When I was at the University of Florida, I had a few friends on the swim team. I went to a few of the meets and I watched the swimming events during the 2004 Olympics. One of the swimmers I remember watching compete was Ian Thorpe from Australia. Thorpe is back in the news, but it isn’t for being part of the Swimming World Championships.
