I’m leaving for South Africa in about a week!!! Where has the time gone??!! 🙂 That’s right– the time has almost arrived to jump on a plane for 22 hours, change many timezones, and to experience a new and wonderful culture. I have been asked by many people what exactly I am going to be doing in South Africa. Well– it’s simple. I am going for a PR Internship with a PR Firm that deals with sports, fashion, entertainment, and business. The internship is two months long, and I believe that it will be a great experience for me personally as well as professionally.

Public Relations in South Africa is a growing field, and it will be interesting to see how they do PR and compare it to what we do in the United States. Another really neat thing that I will get to do while we are in South Africa is to go to the Kruger National Park. Yep– there is no fence between you and the really big “kitties.” 🙂 I have talked to many USC students that did their internship down in Cape Town last summer, and they said it was the best experience ever! 🙂

So– I best be off to start packing! Have a great day! 🙂

Best Wishes,

Karen
