You know what they say about how you are what you eat– well, that can apply to fashion as well!
You are what you wear!!!
You can spot a public relations professional anywhere– just based on what they wear. One of the great things about USC is that they bring in senior level management in the public relations field as guest speakers. I have been very impressed by those that have spoken in my classes. Even though these public relations professionals work in different companies, they shared many qualities: they knew what they were talking about, they have a lot of experience in the field of public relations, and fashion!
People make a statement with what they wear. Clothes, jewelry, and shoes present the public with a certain image of who you are as a person. I believe that this is very important to succeed in the workplace. Here are some of my favorite designers to name a few: Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Kenneth Cole, and Dana Buchman. All of these are top quality designers and their products are amazing!
I used to tease my older sister Kristin about her shoe collection and how many she had– and I believe now that I am becoming a total shoe person myself! 🙂 So basically– my point is that today, image and presentation is everything– and fashion is a key to it. In any situation, you want to look your best– so why not buy the best? Think of it as an investment towards your future. Plus– it will make you look absolutely fabulous!!! 🙂
