Social Media news

A lot of my alma maters (Trojans, Gators and Vols) are playing in the NFL and a few in the Super Bowl! Good Luck and be safe! The picture of me comes from my Trojan Roster picture during my Track and Field life!

Here are a few readings for today:

“Giving out details about your Super Bowl ad prior to the game used to be a marketing no-no, but that strategy makes less sense in the age of social media. Two days before the game, many advertisers had already loaded their Super Bowl ads onto YouTube. For some, like Volkswagen, this seemed to pay off, but for others it’s hard to say.”

The cover letter is often an expected attachment to the résumé, serving as an applicant’s first impression on potential employers. Traditionally, it offers job seekers an opportunity to introduce their skills and qualifications, while giving hiring managers an idea of a candidate’s suitability for the position.”

“Even before the Super Bowl, Volkswagen’s commercial touting the new Chattanooga, Tenn.-built Passat sedan already had gone viral in the social media, highlighting the way the marketing game is changing in connection with television’s biggest sports event.”

“2010 is the year social media and the Super Bowl are officially converging. Everyone from the advertisers and the NFL to fans and athletes are getting in on the social media Super Bowl action like never before.”
