When I was at the University of Florida, I went to see the real mascots of the university at Gatorland. At USC, I – of course – had to go to the ‘shopping capital’ of the city, Rodeo Drive! But there are some things here in Tennessee that you just have to go and see! Yesterday, I got to see a duck race!

Yes, you heard me right– I went to see the Knoxville Duck Races! Mom and I were having lunch on the Tennessee River, and we saw all of these advertisements and blown up ducks, and we were like– what’s this all about?

So, we went down the river and saw 35,000 yellow plastic ducks ride down the river to the finish line. It was pretty interesting to witness! 🙂 What was really great about this event is that it was really family-friendly. There were a ton of families there and the kids were having a blast! They had different booths where you could buy food and even your own plastic ducks! Mom and I got a couple of ducks, and they were so cute! 🙂

After watching the ducks battle it out on the river, we headed to the Vol Football Stadium. All I can say is– wow! 🙂 I can only imagine what it is like to run stadium stairs there for my workouts — I guess I will have to try! 🙂 It was really fun checking out the athletic facilities at UT as well.

Hum, I realized that all of the schools that I have gone to have great football programs! 🙂 Can’t wait till the season starts in a few weeks! 🙂

Have a great day!

Best Wishes,

Karen 🙂
