Books– Check!

Schedule– Got it!

Ready to start classes– Yep!

It’s that time of the year!  That’s right– I am going to be heading to Knoxville & the University of Tennessee to start my Ph.D. program in CommunicationsMom is also flying out with me to help me set up my new apartment and get settled and Dad did a fantastic job in getting all of our travel arrangements made! 🙂  Thank you so much! 🙂 I’m really lucky to have two great parents! 🙂

It seems like yesterday that I started off at USC after finishing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida.  It was a quick turn around for me– I finished at Florida in August 2005 and had basically a week to catch my breath before heading to orientation at USC!

So many schools, so little time!:  Here I am at SMU with Sammy Walker (2002), at Florida (2002-2005), USC (2006-2007), and May 2007 wearing a Tennessee Football jersey & visor.

I have to say that I really enjoyed my time at USC, both academically and athletically.  It was absolutely amazing– I met amazing people, I had great classes at Annenberg, and being part of one of the most established track and field programs in the nation was wonderful. Once a Trojan, Always a Trojan– Fight On Forever! 🙂

I am really looking forward to starting my Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee.  I have my orientation for the Ph.D. program in the next couple of days, and then I start my classes next week.  What is really neat is that I will be able to spend some time to go around the city and campus! 🙂  I will get to see all the little freshmen as well! (Class of 2011– wow, it makes a girl think!) 🙂

Have a great day!

Best Wishes,

Karen
