Happy Father’s Day!
I wish all of the fathers and soon-to-be fathers a wonderful and special day. I am very lucky to have an amazing Dad. Dad has been super supportive of me all of my life and has served in many different roles. Dad was my coach in high school – some of my fondest memories were the times we worked out together and went out to Laguna Middle School to throw the shot put in the rings or run stairs.

Traveling to track and field meets around California as well as in other states was very fun. Dad has also been a strong supporter of mine for pursuing my dreams in graduate school and taking the same mentality I had as an athlete and translating this into the classroom and academics.
Dad is also a wonderful chef and has created some amazing meals for all of us. My friends have told me over the years they always seem to get hungry whenever they see Dad’s pictures on Facebook! 🙂 Karla created a very cool Father’s Day drawing for today below showcasing Dad’s talent in the kitchen.
We should always take the time to say thanks to both of our parents each and every day. Along with my sisters, Kristin and Karla, we are very fortunate to have two amazing parents. 🙂 Mom and Dad are the best!
