Happy Birthday Dad!!

That is right, today is my Dad‘s 57th birthday!  He said that he was planning on making some fabulous pasta with homemade marinara sauce along with baklava for dessert!  This is indeed foodie torture! 🙂  One of the most memorable memories I have of Dad’s birthday came when I was competing for USC back in 2006 in track and field.  I was asking Dad what he would like for a birthday present, and he said along the lines of the USC School Record in the shot put.  No pressure! 🙂  But this was right before the Mt. Sac Relays, and I actually did get the school record for the first time there! I think that you can see I was motivated! 🙂  Dad was very happy! 🙂  Dad was also one of the reasons why I went to USC – he got his MBA and MSBA from USC.  Fight on! 🙂

Dad and I have done a lot of activities together – he was my coach in track and field, my work out buddy in the weight room, and fellow cook in the kitchen. I am very lucky to have Dad as my father – he is kind, sweet, supportive, creative, talented, encouraging, and one of the best people that I know.  Dad is such a hard worker and so supportive – Dad is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.  I also admire Dad’s personal strength and courage – it inspires me every day and I consider him one of my heroes.  I wish that I was able to be home to celebrate with Dad, Mom, and Karla for Dad’s birthday – but I know that I will be there in spirit. 🙂

Happy birthday Dad, and love you tons! 🙂

Best Wishes,

Karen
