When I was competing at a track and field athlete at both Florida and USC, the main sponsor for our uniforms, shoes, and warmups was Nike– so that is what I would have to wear. But, if it was my decision– I would want to be sponsored by Under Armour. I have been a fan of Under Armour since my first year at Florida, when I was getting tired of changing ten million times because I was working out so much because it was so hot. I heard from the other athletes at Florida about Under Armour, so I decided to check it out and I was hooked!
Since I have started running more long distance (I know– a former thrower running more than a lap around the track!), I realized that I needed to get a better pair of running shoes. So, I saw that Under Armour has just released their first shoe about a month ago– and I got a pair. I have to say– I’m once again hooked! These are the best shoes I’ve had– they are comfortable and they feel like they were made for my feet. I went out today for my first run in them– and it was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend these shoes to anyone! 🙂
The thing that I like about Under Armour is the fact that they not only have excellent products, but it seems to be a company that knows who they are in terms of identity, image, and how they are perceived by their audiences. Under Armour also knows what characteristics and images people associate with their brand and corporation– they are a company that is dedicated to making sure that their products help athletes and others have the right tools (in this case, athletic wear and equipment) do be all they can be. Their corporate image is directly focused to their key audiences, especially athletes. It would be really great to work for a corporation like Under Armour— they have all of the tools that have made them successful in their industry– good product, management, brand identity, and a great reputation.
Hope you all are having a great day! 🙂
Best Wishes,
Karen 🙂
