A view Inside Arena Football: My experience at a LA Avenger’s Game

I got to do something that I thought I’d never have the chance to do. I went to the Staples Center on Sunday Night. Did I go to see the Lakers? No– I get to later this month though! How about the LA Kings? Nope– I went to see the LA Avengers play the San Jose Sabercats. You are probably thinking– what is Karen talking about? Well– I am talking about arena football (football that is played on a 50 yard football field indoors). I went to the arena football game as part of my Sports Public Relations class (my professor is the head of communications and public relations with the LA Avengers).

It was a really neat game to see. Even though the LA Avengers lost the game, it was an enjoyable experience overall for my first arena football game. The LA Avengers are a really fan-friendly team– there were a lot of families there together and all really excited about the team and players. I had a lot of fun, got a few Avenger items, and a ton of pictures.
