Grilled steaks are yummy!

Chef Tanzer has quite a few interesting recipes from his nation’s capital. I especially enjoyed  his web site!  Here is one of the ones I liked most:

  Grilled Steaks with a Mediterranean Rub   

  Ingredients:   

  2 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground paprika
1 ½ tsp ground ginger
1 ½ tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground black pepper
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
4 steaks (each about 1 inch thick)
8 lemon wedges   Blend first 6 ingredients in small bowl.
 Blend first 6 ingredients in small bowl.   

METHOD:   Mix in oil to form smooth paste. Rub mixture over steaks.  Chill at least 1 hour. Grill to desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare.    Place on cutting board; let stand 4 minutes. Cut steaks into 2 cm thick diagonal slices.  Transfer to platter.  Sprinkle with salt.   Serve with lemon and chickpea Karen
