It is interesting to see what images people think of when they think of the USA. The Statue of Liberty. The American Flag. NYC and LA. And.. cowboys! That’s right– a bunch of my friends in South Africa were really excited when I said that I spent a year in Texas and I was going to head to Tennessee to go to school. They were like, wow! Country music, cowboys, Nashville, and Graceland! 🙂 All great things! 🙂
A few days ago, we all took a trip to one event that had cowboys, lots and lots of animals, and plenty of interesting displays– the Mid State Fair in Paso Robles. Our family would go each year to see all of the different farm animals, watch the races (barrel and pig). Yes, I did say pig races– the Mid State Fair has them. 🙂 There were a bunch of rides to also go on and play games (darts are the best!) Also, there were a few acts that came to the fair this year, including Aerosmith! 🙂
After winning a bunch of stuffed animals and riding the rides, we looked at the different art and food displays (I know that I am on a diet when I keep talking about food!!! :)) It was all fun!
It was a fun outing for the Freberg family to go and see the Mid State Fair.
