I really enjoy cooking when I get the chance! My desserts seem to be a hit with my friends, everyone seems to love my ‘Mudbars’ and my latest variation to my ‘super secret’ Amarula Carrot Cake recipe is always a hit!
Hawaii is next on my list and my sister Kristin wants to do something special for the New Year’s Eve meal. Desserts are fun and easy, but I am going to help Kristin with something special this year for the main dish! Any ideas?
Anyway, last night we fixed a wonderful Stroganoff with Eclairs for dessert! Sorry Jenny Craig, but this was my one day off!
My sister Karla bought me a wonderful cookbook called ‘the Epicurean!’ The book was published in 1920 and was delivered from Omaha! There was even an article from 1940 used as a bookmark! My grandfather grew up in Omaha, so it felt like family.
So many recipes, so little time!
