All right, there is another birthday in the Freberg family. That’s right, today– 25 years ago in Humble, Texas–I was born! 🙂 It was on a Thursday, and I was actually early! I was supposed to be born in October, but hey, early is always good! I weighed in at 6 lbs, 9 oz (and I quickly discovered food at an early age, and the weight of course went up!) 🙂 I was a foodie at a very young age! 🙂
It’s weird– turning 25 to me is more of a milestone than 18 or 21 were. When I was 18, I thought that it was really neat that I could vote (I voted in my first presidential election in November 2000) and at 21, I was like– okay, I’m officially an adult, but I don’t drink, so instead I substituted my celebration for some ice cream! 🙂 But 25– wow, that is half-way to 50!! Woo hoo! 😀 Makes a girl think, as Marilyn Monroe says in the movie “Some Like it Hot.”
How did I celebrate? I knew that this would be a day that Jenny would just have to understand, :)– so I made myself a carrot cake. It’s not just a carrot cake, but an Amarula Carrot Cake!!! Mom has a fantastic recipe which I used, but when I was trying to take pictures of my cake mix, I put more Amarula than I was supposed too! Oops! 🙂 Anyway, the cake this year was divine! 😀 Here are some pictures!
I hope you all are having a great day! 🙂
Best Wishes,
Karen
