This upcoming weekend, I will be heading to West Virginia University for the 2010 IMC Weekend event.  This event is for current and prospective students who are interested in the IMC program along with the current faculty.  I have been with the IMC program now for almost a year – I started teaching for the IMC program online in October and I thoroughly enjoyed it – the students were very energetic and upbeat – and ready to learn about all of the elements of public relations.  The course that I taught for the program was called PR Concepts and Strategy, which is the first class in Public Relations that the students take in the program.  Not only am I going to be meeting some of my students and the rest of the faculty in person, but I am going to be part of the crisis communication panel at the event along with Professors Rebecca Andersen and Tina McCorkindale).  It should be a great breakout session – I am looking forward to it!  Here is the schedule for the IMC Weekend Event.

Other than some great breakout sessions, we have the opportunity to tour around the university and have a lovely picnic event set up at the end of the event – it all looks fabulous!  I am very excited about attending the event and meeting everyone in person.  Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Best Wishes,

Karen
