Happy New Year!

Wow! This is my first post in the new year of 2008! 🙂 How neato! 🙂 Well, I am back from visiting Kristin in Hawaii for a few days! From going to waterfalls to spending time at the spa to celebrating New Year’s at the Aloha Tower– it was divine dahling! Ahh, I really miss the warm weather in Hawaii! The lowest it was in terms of winter weather in Oahu was 66 degrees. Last time that I looked at Tennessee weather, the high was 20 degrees! Yikes! Oh well, it is all good! 🙂

Kristin was a fabulous hostess during my time in Hawaii. We kept ourselves very busy and I had an absolute fabulous time! 🙂 What did we all do? Looking back at all of the pictures that I took, I am still amazed that we did all of the things we did!

What was great about my trip is that Kristin got to show me the Hawaii that most tourists don’t really get to see. We spent time at the beach, but we also went to see waterfalls on the North Shore of the Island, and I got to go and spend a relaxing day at the spa (it was really neat!) and Kristin hosted a party for her friends and I got to cook beef stroganoff and amarula carrot cake– my first event that I catered! Very neat! 🙂 What a wonderful group of people and I was really honored to cook for them! 🙂

New Year’s Eve was AWESOME!!! Kristin and I headed down to the Aloha Tower for dinner and got to go and see a live band play and go dancing. The fireworks display was also one in a million– I think that Hawaii is one of the top 10 places in the world to go to celebrate New Year’s at. I had a blast! 🙂 I spent my last day in Hawaii touring around one of the Temples in Hawaii and driving around North Shore. We went to Pizza Bob’s where we had the best pizza ever!! 🙂 Sorry Jenny– my New Year’s resolution is to be really, really, REALLY good on my diet! 🙂

It was great to see Kristin and spend time with her. Thanks Kristin for one amazing vacation! 🙂 I hope you all are having a great day and Happy New Year! 🙂

Best Wishes,

Karen 🙂
