What a wonderful Christmas we had!

We got to celebrate Christmas yesterday in true foodie fashion. We started the day off with Mom’s fabulous cinnamon rolls. They are amazing!!! I made a movie of Mom making these amazing rolls, and they were so good! Here is the recipe again for you! 🙂

You might be asking why I called these rolls “Planet Eater” rolls– well, growing up– one of the Freberg family things that we would do is watch “Star Trek” on Saturday nights, and one of our favorite episodes was the one with the “Planet Eater” (I think that it was called the Doomsday Machine episode…. :)) Anyway, I told Mom after she rolled up the cinnamon roll dough that it looked like the Planet Eater, so the name stuck! 🙂

Our Christmas meal was really great. Dad made this fantastic roast, Mom made the mashed potatoes and veggies, and I made corn bread. I got the recipe from “The Epicurean” cookbook, and it was divine!!! And what was really neat was the cornbread molds that I got– they were shaped like corn! So, after you took the corn bread out of the molding, they looked like actual corn! 🙂 Above is a picture of me with my cornbread, don’t they look cute? 😀

To conclude the meal, Mom made this AMAZING cake that had four layers, tons and tons of chocolate, and raspberries. It was absolutely divine!!! But I think that I ate too much (sorry Jenny!) Dad wrote a great post about what we did on Christmas! 🙂

What is up next? Well, in a few days, I will be visiting Kristin in Hawaii and I will be there until after New Year’s. I am so excited! 🙂

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a great day!

Best Wishes,

Karen 🙂
