Hello everyone,

I am back in sunny (well– sunny and cold) California for the Christmas holidays! 🙂 I left Knoxville yesterday (it was in the high 60s yesterday– this is DECEMBER and it feels like fall!!) 🙂

Let's just cook! Me and Dad

Traveling is always an adventure– from going to and from track and field meets to leaving for the holidays– there is always something bound to happen. 🙂 Why do I say this? Well, this is what happened to me yesterday. I had a layover in Dallas (my home for a year when I was at SMU), and with the weather conditions in the Midwest, there were a lot of planes delayed or canceled. Luckily, I got on my plane, but I realized that I had just about 20 minutes to get to my flight– yikes! Well, I knew that I was going to get my exercise! 🙂

So, I get to LAX– my flight to San Luis Obispo leaves at 6:55, and I land at 6:45— 10 minutes to get from one terminal to a remote one in LAX??!! It would take a miracle, and it did. I received help from the American Airlines representative and she was very helpful to get me to my flight. I was very excited! 🙂 I have to say that American Airlines really impressed me with their customer relations– thanks again! 🙂

Hope you all are having a great day! 🙂

Best Wishes,

Karen

P.S. I found out my grades for my first semester in the Ph.D. program at Tennessee– all A’s! 🙂 I am so excited! 😀
