What is great about my family is that we do it all for Christmas. We have our lights on our house, we have a splendid tree filled with wonderful ornaments, and we are planning a fantastic and unforgettable Christmas Day meal (What can I say,we are foodies!) 🙂

One of the most favorite Christmas traditions that my family and I like to do each year is make our own gingerbread house. Making a Gingerbread house allows me to be creative with wonderful goodies and to make something that is special. Each year is different in decoration and the style has evolved over time. The first one that I ever made was in 5th grade, and it was a lot of fun, so ever since then– I would make a gingerbread house!
This gingerbread house has not just any chocolate or candies on it, but it has the best! For the roof, you can see that it has white chocolate, and that is Lindt white chocolate bars (absolutely fantastic!) There are a lot of candies on the roof, which are a mixture of Lindt truffles, Ferraro Rocher (one of Dad’s favorite candies), Reese’s bells, and Hershey Kisses. To top it all off, I have M&M’s. 🙂
Making a Gingerbread House is a wonderful Christmas tradition, and the end result is a pretty and unique table centerpiece for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully it will last until Christmas and not be eaten! 🙂
Hope you all have a great day and Happy Cooking & Decorating! 🙂

Best Wishes,
Karen 🙂
