Okay, after several posts on this subject– I am happy to announce that according to USADA, I am “officially retired”! Wow– I am still amazed with all the paperwork, time, and energy that you have to go through just to retire from a sport! 🙂 Amazing!
Anyway– if you would like to see what a “retirement” letter looks like, here you go! A few of my friends have asked me if I am going to continue with track– and all I have to say is, “Nope! I turned in my retirement papers!” Sure, there are going to be things about competing in track that I am going to miss, but it’s time for me to move on.
As the character Edna from “The Incredibles” puts it– “I never look back at the past dahling, it distracts from the now!” 🙂
