Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
My parents have been together now for 40 years – spent three years dating and have been married now for 37 years. My parents were high school sweethearts and went to the same high school in San Marino, CA. My mom talks about how she was actually taller than my Dad when they first met. 🙂 Mom and Dad had their first date at the 1969 USC-UCLA Football game. Dad at the time was getting recruited by both USC and UCLA in high school, and little did he know that Mom absolutely loves football! So, it was the perfect first date.

After graduating from high school, both Mom and Dad went to UCLA, where Dad competed for the Bruins in track and field. After graduation, both of my parents went on for graduate school – Mom went on to her Ph.D. at UCLA, and Dad got his MBA and MSBA from USC (Fight on!)
Forty years later, I look at my parents and what I see is the image of love, commitment, loyalty, and what it truly means to be together. Kristin, Karla, and I are very fortunate and lucky to have such wonderful parents. Mom and Dad – I wish you both a wonderful anniversary and happy 40 years – and here is to another 40 years of happiness, love, and fabulous-ness! 🙂 Love you both so very much! 🙂
