Happy New Year! 

Wow, it seems that 2006 went by pretty fast and 2007 is here!  007– the year of James Bond!  How cool! 🙂  Anyway, I thought that I would write down some New Years resolutions that I would try to do this year.  It seems that sometimes I follow them, and sometimes I seem to “forget” them! 🙂  Not this year!  Here are some of my resolutions:

Lose my Throwing Weight and Join Jenny Craig:  Well, I have gotten a head start on that one!  I joined Jenny Craig along with my Mom in November, and I have lost over 35 lbs in just about two months.  I still have a ways to go, but I have made good progress on it!  Mom and Dad have done GREAT so far on it, and we’ll be healthier and happier with the weight loss!

 

A picture of my former self– this was taken at the 2000 Golden West Invitational where I was throwing the shot my junior year (I won :)).  During that same year, I weighed my heaviest, and in this picture– I had already lost a lot of weight.  This picture and several others keep me motivated on Jenny Craig! 🙂

Not get emotional about food; change goals:  When we joined Jenny Craig, we got a book and one of the sections that it had in it described what type of eater you are.  I am what is called an “emotional” eater– which means that I feel that food is essential to have and I put a huge value on it, and it would be a reward for me.  So– what I am going to do is if I want to reward myself– I am going to either get myself a movie, get my nails done, or whatever– but it won’t be food. 🙂
