Ah, New Year’s Resolutions– aren’t they great?  Why do I say that?  Well, they are promises and goals that you make at the beginning of the year that you want to do better in or improve upon in various activities in your life.  I realized that I had a few that I wanted to make sure that I did for this upcoming new year.  2008 is indeed a new year– so I thought it would be a good time for some goals and resolutions.  Here are some that I thought of:

Continue to lose weight with Jenny Craig.  After this past holidays, I am really going to need to!  But that is what is great about Jenny Craig– I am not worried because I know that it works! 🙂 And as soon as I get to my goal weight, I am going to make a special meal once a week from my fabulous new cookbook “The Epicurean.”  Very Neato! 🙂

Add more range to my workouts.  Ever since I finished up with track, I have continued to workout, but it has either been weightlifting or going on the stairmaster.  Now I want to take exercise classes and run as well! 🙂

Broaden my cooking menus.  I really, really, REALLY like cooking, and what I want to do is practice and try new recipes.  From dishes that you would serve everyday to those that are only for entertaining purposes, I want to continue to learn and experiment to become a better cook. 🙂

Take time to smell the roses.  You might be asking why I have this down– well, as a Ph.D. student, you are pretty busy with school, work, and everything else!  So, my goal is to take the time necessary to do fun activities, travel, and relaxing! 🙂

Well, as you can see– you can get a picture of some of the resolutions that I have made for the upcoming year.  I guess I will have to wait and see how they turn out at the end of the year! 🙂  I hope you all are having a great day and so far a great year! 🙂
