I’m off to South Africa

I had mentioned a few weeks ago in the last K-mail that I have an opportunity to do an international internship this summer.  Of the choices, I could go to Hong Kong, London, or South Africa.  After thinking it over, I have decided to go to South Africa.  I believe that this will be a great opportunity to see a new culture and get work experience in the field of Public Relations in another country.

The Trojan Band took the field!

No one does it better!

Here are the two teams stretching and going through their drills 1 hour and 20 minutes BEFORE the game!

Look how many fans are in the stands already!!??

Finals, finals, and FINALS!!!

It’s that time of the year, well—it’s finals time for graduate students at least.  I have several papers and presentations to do, but I’ll be done before Thanksgiving!  That will give me plenty of time to work on my thesis!  I know what I’ll be doing during Christmas break!  Then after this semester, I will only have two more to go and then I will complete my Master’s!  After that—more school!!!  I am in the process of applying to Ph.D. programs—exciting times!

One of two of the touchdowns I caught on film in the 3rd quarter.

 The second touchdown!

If you look in the upper left corner you can see Head Coach Pete Carroll signaling for a touchdown!!!

Hanging out at the Track Booth

Since this was Homecoming, every club and sport set up a booth to sell items and talk to alumni and boosters.  The USC track and field team had an area where they had food, drinks, and TVs that showcased last season.  I finally got to see myself compete at the USC-UCLA dual meet—I was really excited!  It was great to talk to the boosters and alumni again.  They really are so dedicated and supportive to everyone and I had a great time!

Here we are at the track and

some of the other throwers were
going to show up? Hmmmmm

Hanging around!

Here is the small freezer above my refrigerator. You can see my entire week's supply of Jennie Craig dinners! Yummy!

I took Mom and Dad down to the new Galen Center where many of our indoor sporting events are held.

It is one of the most beautiful venues in Los Angeles!
