My friends Monica and Sabrina came up for a visit this past weekend... and we went glass blowing! We each made our own ornaments! How cool is that!

Here is what I am reading today:

“However, traditional decs just aren’t geeky enough for our tech-loving tastes. To this end we’ve scoured the web for festive ornaments with a geeky or social media twist. From Angry Birds to LEGO via Santa-Bots, we think you’ll like our 10 cool Yule creations. Let us know in the comments which ones you’d stick on your tree.”

There are a lot of online influencers dominating the platform, but who is the average Google+ user? An infographic from Flowtown and Column Five has the answer:

  • More than half (63 percent) of Google+ users are male; 37 percent are female.
  • Most users are between the ages of 25 and 34.
  • The core of Google+ users live in the United States, but the site is gaining popularity in India.
  • Most users are in the middle-class income bracket.

But is Google+ losing steam? While the social networking site claims almost 40 million users, only 17 percent of them are active users.”

Tis the Season: Here is our Party at the University of Louisville that included friends and graduate students! Everyone had a fun time and left with a nice box of See's Candy!

“Ever wondered what makes content go viral? I’m sure we’ve all got our own theories, some good some bad, but there would be a bunch of readers here that would have some seriously successful viral campaigns to their name, so I wonder how this infographic shapes up on the viral front…”

(Karen’s Comment: I don’t get into the blame game because resisting wonderful food is part of maintaining a healthy body type. However, I will agree that in Louisville, we have some of the most wonderful restaurants in America!)
