Hello from Greece! Yes, I am currently in Athens at the moment and will be heading back to Louisville to finish out the spring semester and conclude my four straight weeks of presentations. March has truly been a busy travel, research, and presentation month for me.

We had a great time sharing insights related our research projects with each other at the conference. It was a conference were 22 countries were represented by 45 participants. We also had two other UofL professionals present at the conference: My colleague Mary Ashlock and UofL Graduate Student Samantha Hughey. Both did a tremendous job with their final presentations and UofL was represented well!

Along with great research presentations, we had a chance to explore and experience what Greece was all about with a great tour of the city as well as an authentic Greek night. We had so many wonderful meals and we even got a chance to experience some Greek dancing! Understanding the culture, food, and people is one of the most important things we can bring back to our students, colleagues, and professionals to share. Another highlight was to visit some of the more iconic sites of the city like the Parthenon and even the Olympic Stadium.

One of the major highlights I had as well for this conference was the opportunity to share this with my Dad. My Dad has never been to Greece before, but is a true enthusiast for its history and culture. He was able to see my presentations and experience Greece along with me. It was really a special trip for the both of us to experience together!

If you want to go to a great international conference to gain different perspectives on communication research and experience the Greek culture, you should consider looking into submitting a paper to the ICCM conference next year. Special thanks again to Margarita for being an amazing host, leader, and friend at this conference and making this such a special trip and time for me.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Best Wishes,
