We had our first week of classes here at the University of Louisville, and I am really excited to be teaching my fourth social media class here at UofL.

We have two great clients this semester working with the students on social media campaign proposals. I am thrilled to be working with great professionals like Gathan Borden and Bella Portaro. Both are truly visionaries in their roles and have been really supportive of the class.

I am going to be using a variety of different social media platforms this semester for the class. First, of course Twitter. We are going to be using the class hashtag #Freberg15 this semester and feel free to join in the class conversations and meet the students! We will be featuring a lot of guests in class this semester as well as blogs.

My students will be maintaining a personal blog this semester, so they will be sharing these as well on Twitter this semester as well. They are required to write two posts a week – but one is going to be related to class and the other is going to be of their own choosing.

I am also going to try to do weekly highlights on Storify from the class, like I did here. Some will be focused on class discussions but also related to guest speakers, activities, assignments, and final presentations. Stay tuned! I will also share some of my assignments for the class on Slideshare as well. For example, I formalized an email and social media policy for my class this semester, which is located here.

Overall, I am very excited to be teaching a great group of students again this semester and I am sure we are going to have a lot to discuss this semester in the area of social media.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Best Wishes,
